Shipping policy

Shipping is free when minimum order criteria as listed onsite is metand the regular or expedited parcel options are selected.  Hair Care Canada reserves the right to revise minimum shipping criteria without notice and may do so repeatedly due to fluctuating costs incurred by vendors and/or carriers.

Our intent is to reduce our carbon footprint by bringing awareness forward to the environmental benefits of increasing the order size. Larger orders reduce the number of times our customers need to order annually, which reduces the number of deliveries made by our carriers, which means lower emission output by those carriers, which in turn reduces shipping rates.

Hair Care Canada's intent is to incent customers with competitive pricing, and free shipping as a thank you for increasing order size which supports our green initiatives and for helping carriers cut back on fuel costs that are passed onto customers.

*NOTE: Shipping rates are based on weight of the package and distance to delivery point from Calgary Alberta Canada. As weight and distance increase, the shipping price increases proportionately based on Canada Post rate calculations. Hair Care Canada reserves the right  to reasonably raise rates due to anomalies such a excessive weight or oversized packaging, but not limited to that increases shipping rates charged by Canada Post

Xpresspost or Priority shipping is not free if requested. Applicable carrier rates apply for parcels delivered using these options and are paid by the customer. Hair Care Canada assumes no responsibility for the potential disruption of the carrier's service such as, but not limited to, weather, labor issues, a pandemic, political unrest, protests, etc., that may impact the carriers posted delivery timelines. Hair Care Canada reserves the right to decline orders that incur unreasonable shipping costs and will work with the customer to overcome unforeseen circumstances.

Weather-Related Shipping Notice:

Hair Care Canada guarantees' that all goods shipped are in a new, undamaged, saleable condition.  Hair Care Canada assumes no responsibility for damages incurred once the goods leave Hair Care Canada Operations. Goods that are received in a damaged condition are to be addressed with the delivery company/carrier and resolved independently of Hair Care Canada.   

It is important to acknowledge that Hair Care Canada sells products that may freeze if exposed to below-freezing temperatures for a prolonged period of time.

Our contracted carriers drop goods on the customer's doorstep and leave them in mailboxes.

The onus is on the customer to ensure the delivery is collected prior to potential freezing, or theft, and/or instruct Hair Care Canada to make alternate delivery arrangements should the customer not be able to retrieve the parcel in a timely manner from their step or mailbox.

The performance of beauty and hair care products sold by Hair Care Canada is not affected by freezing, however, liquids may expand if frozen but will return to the original molecular structure once thawed. 

Hair Care Canada does not refund products damaged by freezing as it has no control over how long the customer and/or shipping carriers leave the product exposed to freezing temperatures.

Undelivered, Missing Shipments, Incorrect Address Delivery, Late Shipments, Item Discrepancies

All Hair Care Canada's goods shipped are accompanied by a tracking number specific to the carrier.  The onus is on the customer to contact the carrier to locate the missing order as Hair Care Canada is subject to the same tracking visibility as the customer and assumes no responsibility for operations and/or actions of the carrier. Hair Care Canada relinquishes ownership and responsibility for the package at the time we hand it off to Canada Post.  Hair Care Canada has no control over what happens to the package once it leaves our facility, and for certain cannot intervene at the customer's location to mitigate theft or freezing.  If theft and/or freezing is an issue at the point of delivery, the onus is on the customer to indicate special instructions to Hair Care Canada at the time of order to ship as "signature required", otherwise, Hair Care Canada will ship as "do not safe drop". 

This way if no one is there to sign, the parcel goes to the depot for pick up or left in the customers secure community/building mailbox. In cases where the package was not signed for, and/or sent to the depot, however not located by the depot, the addressee must initiate an investigation with Canada Post to directly convey details required to locate the parcel.  Hair Care Canada will initiate an insurance claim upon the conclusion of the customer-initiated investigation if required however requires the ticket number issued to the customer by Canada Post.

For orders not received please visit the following link to initiate an investigation by entering your tracking number. Do not use the Canada Post virtual assistant. You must speak with a Canada Post representative or complete an online request for investigation as the virtual assistant as standard procedure states the sender must make a claim.  We cannot make a claim until Canada Post has verified with the customer the details related to the missing parcel and issues a ticket.

My mail item has a tracking number but wasn’t delivered: What can I do?

Decide which of these scenarios fits your situation to find out what you can do next:

  1. The delivery address was wrong or incomplete: Canada Post delivers items as addressed and will make every attempt to correct any addressing issues. Learn more about what happens to a parcel or letter that is addressed incorrectly or missing information.
  2. Track status shows as Delivered: If the Track status of your letter or parcel shows as Delivered, but the item has not been received, click here.
  3. Mail item has not arrived by the expected date: If the parcel or letter was sent with a service that includes tracking, use the Track tool to see its status. (To use Track, the parcel must be sent using a service that can be tracked, such as Xpresspost™, Expedited Parcel™, Priority™, Registered Mail™ or Tracked Packets™.)

Hair Care Canada will assist in providing the tracking number associated with the order should the customer require it in addition to the tracking number being found on their invoice, and in the confirmation email at the time of order fulfillment. Item discrepancies must be reported to HCC immediately upon receipt of goods. In good faith, HCC will allow a 7-day grace period after delivery confirmation as it is essential the investigation commence immediately to identify the reason for the discrepancy. 


Distribution
